SDR – Sales Development Representative

Job Description

A Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential clients. SDRs work closely with the sales team to build a pipeline of high-quality leads. This role involves outreach, relationship building, and understanding customer needs in order to set up meetings or demos for account executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels

  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns

  • Research target companies and identify decision-makers

  • Explain product or service value propositions to prospects

  • Schedule meetings or demos for the sales team

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)

  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs (calls, conversions, meetings booked)

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to improve lead quality and messaging

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, cold calling, or lead generation (B2B preferred)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated

  • Tech-savvy and familiar with CRM tools

  • Problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not always required
